Professional Service Manager

Amplidata provides unbreakable storage technology that fundamentally changes the way how data is stored. Amplidata’s Amplistor is over 10.000 times more reliable than traditional RAID bases storage systems and scales up to zettabytes, at a 50-70% lower cost.

Function Description
The Professional Services provides customer support and professional services on the Amplidata solutions for enterprise commercial datacenters. This is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated customer-centric manager to work in an enthusiastic and dynamic environment.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Reports to the CTO
  • Day-to-day management, supervision and coordination of the Professional Service Team
  • Establish the planning to assure that resources (human, technical skills, knowledge,…) are allocated the best way among the projects
  • Act as an interface across those projects
  • Watch over the quality of the processes and the uniformisation of the procedures
  • Coach and guide his team
  • Support team during technical issues
  • Troubleshoot customer issues
  • Ability to prioritize customer needs and respond appropriately
  • Product installation and configuration at customer premises
  • Give demo / POC to potential customers
  • Give workshops and training
  • Implement future features of our product on customer request
  • Consultancy for Virtual Appliances (firewall, Asterisk, Zimbra,…), network design,
  • Is prepared to occasional travel


  • University degree in engineering (or equal by experience)
  • At least 5-10 years of IT experience
  • Experienced in Linux system administration (Solaris is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of storage solutions (NAS, SAN, iSCSI, …)
  • Very good understanding of networks (routing, TCP/IP, network design, firewalling, VLAN, …)
  • Knowledge about virtualization technologies (Xen, VMWare, Virtual Box, KVM) is a plus
  • Ability to present technical information to both technical / non-technical audience
  • Other technical knowledge is an advantage
  • Having spoken and written knowledge of English , Dutch and French
