Job description
The eSaturnus development and engineering team rapidly grew from a small group at start-up, to its current size. The team has highly skilled professionals aboard and successfully created the first series of soft- and hardware releases of our products. Given this rapid expansion, we believe the time is right for a full-time professional to manage and coordinate the development process.

It is crucial that you understand how to lead an engineering team and how to safeguard quality and timing. By daily meetings and follow up you motivate people, organize agile development cycles, create sub-teams etc. Your primary focus is to get production quality releases out in time and to guarantee their technical quality and completeness. Where necessary you translate ‘customer requirement specs’ into ‘functional and technical specifications’.

You are a member of the eSaturnus management team and supervise the daily work of the largest group of coworkers in the house. Longer term decisions about how to do this are taken in collaboration with the managers of the research-, operations- and sales department, together with the CTO and CEO.

You will structure and lead the development team, safeguard its technical output and take care of the full project planning of the release cycles.

Profile
You have multiple years of experience in development management.

You have good understanding of technical challenges in C/C++, Java

You are familiar with complex networked embedded systems, and telecommunication problems

You have good feeling for web based front ends in a distributed setup

You have good feeling for embedded systems

Linux/Unix and Windows are well known platforms

Agile development methodologies are crystal clear to you

Project management and planning are part of your daily business

You can help identify, document and (re)structure internal processes

You have an overview of a larger project and can help to document the overall system architecture and techniques.

You can translate customer requirements specs into functional requirements specs
